While we are known for our excellent skiing conditions in the winter time, you can also enjoy everything we have to offer in the summer, be it golfing at our 18-hole golf course, dining with a view of Vermont’s Green Mountains at the Club Haus Restaurant, or taking in breathtaking views of Lake Memphremagog while hiking Mont Owl’s Head.

Club de Golf Owl’s Head

It is often said that our golf club is the best-kept secret in the Eastern Townships. This is mainly because once you find out, you prefer to keep it jealously for yourself.  You are at Mount Owl’s Head, the closest exotic destination to you.

Hiking Mont Owl’s Head

All roads (or in this case, paths) lead to the summit, which has a 540-metre average elevation. Little frequented, the mountain offers a vigorous hike in nature with, as its final reward, the view of Lake Memphremagog and Vermont. Leashed dogs are permitted.

Everyone agrees: the view from the summit of our mountain will take your breath away! Admire the panoramic vista of the lake below and the surrounding mountains of Jay Peak, Éléphant and Orford. Hikers have the choice of 2.8 km, 3.5 km or 5 km loops. Along the way, you could spot birds of prey here and there, such as turkey vultures and eagles, as well as all sorts of other wildlife.

Owl's Head Golf Club

Overlooked by a magnificent fieldstone chalet, in the heart of nature, the Owl’s Head championship-caliber golf course lies at the base of the mountain. It offers an unforgettable experience to golfers of all levels, from novices to longtime enthusiasts of the sport. 

Designed by internationally renowned golf course architect Graham Cooke, this course offers an exceptional experience at the foot of Owl’s Head Mountain. Of the eighteen holes, six feature water obstacles on the fairways, including the signature 16th hole, where the green is shaped like a peninsula. At the 18th, you’ll finish your round in a magnificent setting: a large green fairway at the end of which you’ll find the fieldstone pavilion with the mountain proudly standing in the background.

Hiking Mont Owl's Head

A 150-year-old historic path

Many decades ago, the Abenaki peoples used this path to reach the summit of Owl’s Head. The Freemasons also took virtually the same route to get to their mountaintop lodge. The Abénakis-Maçonnique path pays tribute to our history as it winds through the forested mountainside. The trailhead is located by the ski lodge at the base of the ski trails.

Owl’s Head in colours is the perfect time to get together with family and friends at the mountain and enjoy its finest attractions. Activities include hiking, creative workshops, and local craft fair, all of which are sure to fill your days in nature, in the most beautiful setting in the Eastern Townships.

Owl’s Head boasts breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Memphremagog and the Green Mountains. Many have enjoyed this spectacle during the ski season, but its autumn version is just as dazzling.
