Located in Matane and in operation since 1947, Mont Castor was Eastern Québec’s very first ski resort ! It offers 19 slopes, including glades, as well as a snow park and a wide range of services such as equipment rentals, a restaurant and a bar. The whole family can also enjoy snow tubing, snowshoeing and a variety of special activities, including night skiing.

Mont-Miller is a ski resort offering a vertical drop of 280 metres as well as 32 slopes. glades for all levels and Supernatural-style platforms.. This ski resort is the ideal place to try out powder skiing and improve your technique before moving on to backcountry skiing with an experienced Chic-Chac guide. Note that the resort only grooms a few slopes mechanically after heavy snowfalls. Open on weekends, statutory holidays and powder days, the resort also offers various lodging options (cottages, inn, motel), a restaurant and bar as well as backcountry skiing, catskiing, heliskiing and snowshoeing.

You can also snowshoe to the top of the mountain on a network of trails and admire amazing views of Gaspé Bay from two lookouts. A family-friendly ski resort, Le Petit Chamonix offers 13 slopes, including 3 snow parks (one of which is for little ones aged 2 to 6). The site is ideal for beginners of all ages and offers a gentle introduction to backcountry skiing as well as the opportunity to go snow tubing, skating and snowshoeing. The main building, which is located at the foot of the slopes, offers a great view of the whole mountain, which means you can relax and enjoy your coffee—as well as the warm atmosphere provided by the central fireplace—while your children are having fun! The Val-d’Irène ski resort offers 100 % natural snow as well as slopes that are suitable for all levels and all types of skiing and snowboarding. A T-bar lift and a quad chairlift with a loading carpet provide access to the whole ski area: easy, moderate, difficult and extremely difficult slopes (some mechanically groomed), as well as glades and moguls.
